The Heart of Leviathen

The Leviathan:
- the mere sight of him is overpowering
- no one is fierce enough to rouse him
- who can strip off his outer coat?
- who would approach him with a bridle?
- who dares open the doors of his mouth, ringed about with his fearsome teeth?
- his back has rows of shields tightly sealed together; each is so close to the next that no air can pass between. They are joined fast to one another; they cling together and cannot be parted
- his snorting throws out flashes of light
- his eyes are like the rays of dawn
- firebrands stream from his mouth; sparks of fire shoot out
- smoke pours from his nostrils as from a boiling pot over a fire of reeds
- his breath sets coals ablaze, and flames dart from his mouth
- strength resides in his neck; dismay goes before him
- the folds of his flesh are tightly joined; they are firm and immovable
- his chest is hard as rock, hard as a lower millstone
- when he rises up, the mighty are terrified; they retreat before his thrashing
- the sword that reaches him has no effect, nor does the spear or the dart or the javelin
- iron he treats like straw and bronze like rotten wood
- arrows do not make him flee; slingstones are like chaff to him
- a club seems to him but a piece of straw; he laughs at the rattling of the lance
- his undersides are jagged potsherds, leaving a trail in the mud like a threshing sledge
- he makes the depths churn like a boiling caldron and stirs up the sea like a pot of ointment
- behind him he leaves a glistening wake; one would think the deep had white hair
- nothing on earth is his equal — a creature WITHOUT FEAR
- he looks down on all that are haughty; he is king over all that are proud

The 2007-09 Recession is Over, so where are we headed now?

I would like to take the liberty to express that our economy will never be the same as the old rules of personal financial development has changed. In this new economy the individual has a greater responsibility for himself and over time loses economic power should he continue to put his complete faith in corporate and government America to sustain his livelihood. Everyday information and power through the internet (and other technology) becomes easier to access for all individuals across the globe. This places both a benefit and a greater obligation for each individual to evolve into a more intelligent being.

Greater access to information through the internet and the decreasing price of technology is very similar to the development of the electronic traffic light. Today no one who drives an automobile or pedestrian walking city streets has the option to claim they do not understand traffic lights or the option to refuse to obey their commands. It is a minimum expectation of all citizens to at least understand and comply with the law of traffic lights. This is a fine example of the impact technology has with regard to survival in the new economy. Those who utilize the information highway as a means to gain financial knowledge and wealth will have the greatest potential to reap economic prosperity. However the majority of those who resist aggressively seeking to independently finance their own future and wait for others to provide security for them will brunt the harsh blow of our ever evolving economic landscape. Simply stated demand for human intelligence is going up while demand for human physical labor and lower brain activity occupations (including many fields requiring advance academic education) are going down.

Furthermore, what the world is experiencing is the leveling of powerful super nations and the rising of historically underdeveloped nations. Forecast already predict within the next 20-50 years China and India will have the larger economies of all other nations. Biblically speaking the old testament prophet Isaiah states it is the will of God to level mountains and bring all nations down to the same level, like sand on a beach. Therefore I encourage you to stay a head of the pack and seek yee knowledge.

Below is an email I wrote to a group of Birmingham business leaders on October 1, 2009 regarding the end of the US great recession. I also published a YouTube video entitled Is The Recession Over where I expound more on why I know the recession is over and help to define how a recession develops.

Financial Optimism is in the air
Today, in my opinion, is the start of a renewed sense of financial stability in our economy both locally and nationally...

I believe sales will be up through at least the end of the calendar year for the following reasons :

- this is a natural time of year retail consumers are prepared to spend discretionary income on preparing for the holidays

- very soon (this month) the federal government will announce the recession that began December 2007 has officially ended!

- the new 2009-10 fiscal year started today, meaning many budgets (especially government, the largest consumer of all) have large sums of money that are untouched (awaiting the new fiscal year for transacting) and ready to be released

- most of the federal stimulus money was slated to begin distribution this new fiscal year, so we can expect more dollars to flow through the economy by November. The effect of these dollars will last a year or more.

- we have three months left in the calendar year and a lot of small business owners are looking to minimize their tax burden by expensing out dollars before the December 31 deadline

- also, the message from media outlets will significantly lighten up related to the peril of our economy

Overall, consumers will be thinking less about what they might lose financially and will feel more secure in their economic circumstances. Many projects that have been delayed will be a higher priority to accomplish, and the willingness to spend discretionary income more freely will continue to increase. I believe we are out of the storm now. So...what are you doing or have done to prepare your company to embrace the new economic wave that began today?

Swine Flu - program of destruction

Swine Flu is part myth created for economic profit, but also an issue that should be addressed with reason. Extra precaution should be taken, as this program of destruction can be avoided or at least minimized. I encourage you to come up with a strategy for managing this small pandemic already reeking havoc in our communities. It is expected to become stronger starting in October and die down around February/March.

Dr. Mercola posted an article titled:

One of the Key Herbs that Prevents and Treats Swine Flu ...

which has good physical methods of prevention to minimize the effects of this menace. However, you should also spiritually arm yourself and ask God for the other keys of passover He has available to allow this program of destruction to "Pass Over" you and your family.

More importantly, if you do not have the knowledge and/or understanding of what passover encompasses, I implore you to research this vital spiritual key that God has available for all of us.  If you do possess knowledge of passover, but perceive it as (only) a historical event, I urge you to ask God to show you that programs of destruction are real and ever present; fighting against us with every passing moment. Most of us are unaware of the programs that exist or how they are designed, but we must arm ourselves with knowledge so we can defend our family and friends.

Remember for every program of destruction set against us, God creates a key to unlock the solution which prevents it from harming our house. All you have to do is ask and He will lovingly give it to you.

Is the Spirit of Jesus your match-maker?

After ten years of successful marriage we have decided to list our thoughts on what we

believe are the key components to a blessed marriage.

How do you know if the Spirit of Peace is the match-maker of your relationship?

1) You should be in agreement on most things without having to compel the other partner through persuasion or manipulation.   If the Spirit of Jesus is your match-maker, then by default, peace will be upon your relationship and will endure ‘til death do you part with very little effort.  After all... He is the Prince of Peace.

2) Your partner will have the desire and the ability to understand your dreams and encourage you to accomplish what God has placed in your heart to fulfill.   The Spirit will present you a lover who will actually hold both spiritual and material keys you will need to unlock your own potential.  Therefore, your partner will enhance your life and help you to see your life path more clearly than you did without each other.  Often, your potential is enhanced by their presence in the process.

3) You will gladly desire to share your life with your partner-including both your time and material wealth.  You will perceive the value of your mate greater than any other earthly gifts God has given you.  The relationship between the two of you should be held with the greatest esteem; creating routines and values for your home and family.  Your joint creations will be influenced by your upbringing and input from friends, but should not be governed by their desires and demands for your new life.  Without hesitation, if required, you would trade in all that you have, even your own life to save the life of your mate (Remind you of anyone?  Perhaps what Jesus did for His bride-the church).

4) The Divine will cause you to love your mate with the eyes of a good mother.  A good mother loves her children and holds them dearly regardless as to their condition.  Good mothers will be there when others have turned their back, will visit their children in the hospital when they are sick, and will comfort them when they have done wrong and are imprisoned.  One of the deepest levels of love available is truly that of a good mother.  The Divine will give you the ability to love your mate unconditionally like the good mother loves her children.  The love of a good mother remains constant throughout the life of her child regardless as to his/her age and surpasses rationality.

5) Another key trait of Divine Matrimony is that your love for each other will be rooted in the bed of desire and not from will alone.  Ultimately, your desire always prevails over your willpower.  Desire and will have one thing in common; they are the strongest forces of power available in the universe.  However, desire is irrational and cannot be explained, so it is difficult to tame; while will is predictable/planned in advance, rational, and carried out with reason.  Therefore, will can be undone through logic and with much greater ease than desire.  Will has a logical and linear progression-often with a start and end. On the other hand, desire has no apparent beginning or ending, no reason for why it exists, and cannot be proven or explained, only experienced through a deep knowing.   As different as these forces may be, you cannot have one without the other.  An individual who starts to love someone through reason or will alone is sure to lose zeal for their loved one over time.  For desire is disciplined by will, and will is held strong by desire.  The combination of the two is what keeps marriage fresh, romantic, adventurous, passion-filled, loving, and faithful. The pairing of these forces allow each partner to easily and successfully remain true to the vows promised to God and one another.

These attributes are what we believe to be gifts of the Spirit.  Do not doubt your relationship should you lack any of these elements.  Instead, know they are possible and that God will grant them to you if you let Him have His will in your life.

Brand awareness - a necessity

We can all agree the most successful business organizations have at least one thing in common; they all have a well known brand. Their is an old saying "one of the best routes to being big, is looking big". All consumers make purchases based upon what I like to call their bank of awareness. If you want to increase the quantity of phone calls to your business or foot traffic to your door, be sure to saturate the minds of your potential market with your brand and purpose.

Your branding strategy should be consistent in both message and distribution. It is better to repeat the same message to the same audience over a long period of time. The more you cater your message to the people most likely to need your service, the stronger your sales will be in the future.

Consistent and effective marketing is much like auto maintenance. You may not feel the benefits of an oil change or 30,000 mile maintenance immediately, however as your car ages your investments will be much smaller than that of frequent and costly emergency repairs. Well known brands endure in down economic times, while weaker brands struggle to survive. Successful brands reap greater profits in good market conditions, while weaker brands strive to catch up. Of course both of these thoughts assume the well built brand is backed by organized management. I hope you find this message helpful and causes you to ponder about your brand strength.

You're only as strong as you are flexible

Topic: Men's fitness - strength vs. flexibility

Which man is better off:

The rich man who earns $100, owes a balance of $1000 to the bank and has a minimum interest payment of $80.

or

The wealthy man who earns $50, owes $10 to the bank that requires a monthly interest payment payment of $1.

I choose the wealthy man, although he earns half of that of the rich man he has more cash flow to create greater wealth and will have less stress during financial storms.

The same lesson should apply to our fitness goals. Men tend to focus on strength training and put little effort toward flexibility. Muscle is like income or revenue, the more the merrier, however flexibility is like the benefits of cash flow mentioned earlier.

A flexible muscular structure helps to prevent aches, pain, and significantly reduces the likelihood of muscle strain or injury. Stretching mixed with a form of meditation also helps improve the body's overall performance including heightened energy, cardiovascular flow, and other anatomical systems. (We'll reserve the even greater spiritual benefits for another article)

So I encourage you to spend at least 35% of your work out on stretching and meditation, which are the only natural methods of relaxing muscles. Yoga classes or the like are highly beneficial and also reduce stress. You should also consider working with healing practitioners, such as message therapist and myofascial release who can dig deeper into the muscular system and create more flexibility than you may find on your own.
Stretching your muscles will significantly increase as your bodies ability become more flexible and relaxed; ultimately causing you to extend the length of your life on this earth.

I give thanks to my wife and health advisor Dr. Kayla L. Briggs for helping to open my eyes to this truth.

Warren Buffett say's the best is yet to come

Most of the information I learn everyday is related to finance and wealth. I hold no other business persons advice higher than Warren E. Buffet, Chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (also the worlds greatest investor and wealthiest person of our time). Please take a look at a segment of what he wrote in his valued annual report just released at his corporate website and make your own decision on your financial investment strategy in this economic recession. I don't know about you, but the house of KMBRiggs will boldly hold on to its dreams and will pursue them with great passion.

"Moreover, major industries have become dependent on Federal assistance, and they will be followed by cities and states bearing mind-boggling requests. Weaning these entities from the public teat will be a political challenge. They won’t leave willingly. Whatever the downsides may be, strong and immediate action by government was essential last year if the financial system was to avoid a total breakdown. Had that occurred, the consequences for every area of our economy would have been cataclysmic. Like it or not, the inhabitants of Wall Street, Main Street and the various Side Streets of America were all in the same boat.

Amid this bad news, however, never forget that our country has faced far worse travails in the past. In the 20th Century alone, we dealt with two great wars (one of which we initially appeared to be losing); a dozen or so panics and recessions; virulent inflation that led to a 21 1⁄ 2% prime rate in 1980; and the Great Depression of the 1930s, when unemployment ranged between 15% and 25% for many years. America has had no shortage of challenges. Without fail, however, we’ve overcome them. In the face of those obstacles – and many others – the real standard of living for Americans improved nearly seven-fold during the 1900s, while the Dow Jones Industrials rose from 66 to 11,497. Compare the record of this period with the dozens of centuries during which humans secured only tiny gains, if any, in how they lived.

Though the path has not been smooth, our economic system has worked extraordinarily well over time. It has unleashed human potential as no other system has, and it will continue to do so. America’s best days lie ahead."
