The morning star an expression of God

Did you know there are about 13 planets in our solar system all sharing the same morning star; a large hot plasma mass called the Sun. From our perspective looking at the Sun from Earth seems like the Sun is not too far or too big. When in fact that could not be farther from the truth. The Sun compared to planet Earth is almost incomprehensible.

Consider the following facts:
- the distance between Sun and Earth is just under 93 million miles
- the earth is just under 8000 miles across, while the sun is just under 865,000 miles across. Meaning you would need at least 109 Earths side by side to go from one end of the Sun to the other
- planet Earth shares a solar system with 12 other planets and the Sun. All 13 planets make up only .14% of the total mass of our solar system, while the Sun makes up the remaining 99.86%
- the Sun is so large that you could fit 1.3 million earths within the sun if it were hallow
- the mass of the Sun is 333,000 times that of the earth

The analogy of the Sun compared to the earth is the only comprehensible way for us to have some understanding of two facts about the Lord:
1) how immense he is and how small we are, yet
2) he loves us with the same measure of intensity

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches
In fact He loves us so much that he promised twice in scripture to give his sons through Christ Jesus the bright and morning star. Meaning one day during this age Gods people of this earth will harness powers and authority so great that it can only be likened to the degree of strength of the Sun. This is the extent of Gods allowance for mankind's abilities on planet Earth.

Furthermore we must keep in mind that this power and authority is yet a microcosm compared to Gods actual being. Consider that as vast as our star The Sun may be, that it is in fact the smallest of the other stars in the universe known to mankind. The largest known star we have been able to identify is VY Canis Majoris. The Sun would look like the size of pin hole compared to that star. Check out this YouTube video Planet Sun Star Comparison and this posting by Mr. Fraser Cain - What is the Biggest Star in the Universe for further elaboration.

Truly the Lord our God is vast, there are no words to describe him, He is magnificent in every way, no man can or ever will understand Him, He deserves all the glory and the praise. He is the utmost, The Sovereign one. He has commanded us to follow his chosen Son Christ Jesus and has placed him between He and us. And with a pure heart let us honor his will and gladly serve King Jesus with all our hearts and minds.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches

Amen,

Five Level Leadership

Some years ago Mr. Jim Collins did an in depth research on companies that made the leap from mediocre results to exceptional financial returns over a period of time. He started his research with the quest of discovering the common driving point of what it takes to build a great organization.

To our surprise his years of empirical research lead he and his team to conclude that leadership beyond any other element is the single most important factor in building a truly great company and sustaining it through a long period of time.

In Mr. Collins book Good to Great he states his research lead him to the conclusion that there are five layers of leadership that when combined make a great leader. KMBriggs firmly believes in his research and agree with the following conclusions. (Please note the five listed below are not what Mr. Collins actually named them, nor are the definitions exactly what he stated in his book, however they are similar. We hope you pick up a copy of Good to Great as it is definitely a good investment of time well spent)

Five Level Leadership:

1) Technical skill - the ability to be a good worker including being organized, punctual, reliable, and other basic work ethic

2) Teammate - the ability to work with others in a team setting and to be a positive contributor to the effort of labor with others

3) Coordinator or Supervisor - the ability to pull people together and get teams to work toward goals and objectives

4) Visionary - the ability to see the larger picture and create plans based on the vision to lead the group to success

5) Humility - truly great leaders, the rare ones have a small ego or at least choose to set it a side. They actually believe and operate on the truth that they are not the reason success is being created. They believe the people and circumstance around them are the primary reason for the motion in their organization.

The truly great leaders possess all five of these traits and constantly seeks to strengthen each layer, regardless as to his status.

KMBriggs believes the development of all five traits are essential and each of them can be developed in any individual so long as it is brought to his attention, he desires to possess all five of them, and intentionally practices each level throughout his entire lifetime.

Nothing can stop your destiny or purpose, not even you

We believe God is a being operating in three time zones at the same time; present, history, and future. In his world what is going to happen has already happened. Therefore the destiny and purpose of each person has already been fulfilled.

Subsequently nothing can stop the destiny or purpose people, not even the person themselves. We are going to become what we are called to become, even when "mistakes" are made, such as ignorance, abundant giving, or too much disclosure.

The biblical son Joseph a hero of the Jews and ultimately the Christian faith was not very wise with dealing with his brothers. It is possible he could have escaped his brothers abuse if he practice a bit more humility. However in spite of his weakness, the Lord developed his wisdom and utilized him as a great man of influence.

This message was inspired by Dr. Jamal Bryant who spoke about dysfunctional families in the You Tube clip titled "THE BLESSING & THE BURDEN OF A BLENDED FAMILY, Dr. Jamal Bryant at Empowerment by First"

This sermon helps to provide greater understanding of our point. Watch the entire clip if you can, but the essence of our message starts at 3:50.

God bless us all.

Recruiting believers for the Kingdom of Christ

Last night I had a delightful dream in which the Lord bless me with great laughter. Through this message He instructed me on how we are to enlist his chosen disciples to his kingdom.

Dream Details
King Jesus showed me joyfully facing a large sheet of paper, with the expanse of my body walking through it. I then turned around once on the other side and explained to others how to walk through as well. When they walked though the large paper they in turn helped me to bring others through the sheet of paper and the cycle continued. Throughout the entire dream we laughed as if we were making jokes, oh we thoroughly enjoyed each other.

Dream Comprehension
The Lord explained to me that when I walked through the sheet of paper I entered into his Kingdom and experienced the joy associated with it. While their he gave me a paying job within his kingdom to help others connect with their jobs. I turned around faced the back side of the sheet and began to help administrate the process of enrolling new people into his kingdom. They found purpose and meaning in their new paying jobs and with joy they helped others find jobs. From there the cycle endlessly continues.

The King told me he will always fill our Kingdom with joy and laughter. The sweetness of our labor will recruit others into his kingdom. The large paper represents his body, which is the word of God. Each new member of the kingdom will receive the word of God with joy and will eat from their capacity. He decreed KMBriggs will recruit men and women to the kingdom, with joy we accept his word.
