There is a method of running a staffing unit that guarantees optimal market success that we have named PresePlace.
PresePlace is derived from the words presentation and placement. Every staffing unit however that is defined for the agency needs at least one person in charge of PresePlace. The manager of PresePlace meticulously and with great skill is an expert at three core task:
- averages at least one presentation every day
- 10 presentations pending at all times
- net an average of one placement each week
A steadfast unwavering commitment from the entire staffing unit to that formula is the answer to all market variances for a staffing or placement firm. PresePlace is the cure for terminated or shrinking contracts, competitors, and capturing the infinite fortunes that are available in staffing.
Meaningful Presentation = the process
- presentation is matching a qualified nurse to a open job vacancy that is well advertised
- a qualified candidate is one who is immediately available for placement, has justifiable experience that matches the job requirements, and is willing to work the location and time required. In most cases presenting nurses that have already worked for us or have submitted their credentials for hire are the best candidates for placements potential
- PresePlace starts with a strong commitment to developing relationships with qualified candidates that are in high demand
- presenting one candidate to multiple job opportunities is good and establishes a spirit of commitment to quality placements
The following are the types of job orders that are most suitable for PresePlace in order of effectiveness:
Grade A) BamaMedStaffing Job Board
B) Current or prospective hot client need
C) External Job Boards (i.e Indeed, Careerbuilder, etc)
D) Reactivation clients
These are the following presentation formats in order of most to least optimal:
Grade A) full presentation including cover sheet, resume, and skill check list
B) partial presentation including cover sheet and resume
C) cover sheet only which always includes employee first name, last name initial, job classification, years of relevant experience, date available, shift available (i.e per diem, days, etc), and a brief but sincere statement of why the candidate is being recommended for the available position.
High grade presentation equates to meaningful matches that fulfill the need of both the candidate and the client. A presentation that is not meaningful will result in poor outcomes including low presentation to placement ratios and the placements that are made will more than likely end in a failure to meet expectations.
Pending Placements = the objective
The objective is to maintain ten (10) pending placements at all times. Pending placements are initiated when the client responds to a presentation with an active interest in pursuing the candidate. Be sure to consistently follow up on pending placements and close the deal as quickly as possible. Generally speaking a pending placement is less likely to be placed if the client has not hired the candidate within two to four weeks, six is really pushing it. A candidate can only count toward one pending placement at a time.
Placements = outcome
Maintaining 10 or more true pending placements will result in at least 1 - 2 placements each week. The actual outcome of the placement yield has a lot to do with the PresePlace managers ability to make meaningful presentations. A placement can be arranged in either a direct placement, per diem, or long term staffing order. We never focus on the cost of a placement. We simply present ideas for consideration, capture the clients interest, and then figure the rest out later.
Following the after-mentioned recipe of PresePlace is a gurantee for achieving optimal market success assuming excellent customer service, integrity in operations, and consistently branding to a large client and candidate database.
