Opportunity: The Definition of Everlasting Life

This journal entry is dedicated to my wife Kayla L. Briggs the third love of my next to God and his beloved son king Jesus of all of created things.  Kayla is the one who shared with me the following scripture that is the inspiration of my now new understanding of the definition of life from a biblical perspective.

Whoever pursues righteousness and love
finds life, prosperity and honor
Proverbs 21:21 NIV

I find it interesting that the bible frequently list "life" as one of the benefits of the kingdom of heaven.  Life is most often thought as the all inclusive benefit or reward of our faith in Jesus Christ.  However life is not the benefit of heaven.  It is more so the opportunity of duties utilized to obtain the benefits of Gods will.

Opportunity can be defined in the following manner:
- a set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something
- an appropriate or favorable time or occasion
- a situation or condition favorable for attainment of a goal
- a good position, chance, or prospect, as for advancement or success

Therefore God gives us the set of circumstances (opportunity) that result in the benefits of life.  Consider the following scripture as an illustration of this point

He dreamed that there was a ladder (stairway) placed on the earth, and the top of it reached [out of sight] toward heaven;
and [he saw] the angels of God ascending and descending on it [going to and from heaven].
Genesis 28:12Amplified Bible (AMP)

My interpretation of scriptures leads me to conclude that life (opportunity, circumstances) is the ladder that is built by our hands.  God gives us the responsibility of building and maintaining life.  When we build the stairway of life it allows the angels of heaven to deliverer the benefits of heaven.  These benefits include provision, long life, prosperity, health, success, fulfillment, honor, glory, praise, loving relationships, etc.  Therefore the angels of God are responsible for producing our success.  We are responsible for understanding the pattern of life, building that ladder of opportunity, and maintain this set of circumstances or opportunity that create the ideal conditions for the work of the heavenly angels.

Again life is liken to the ladder in Jacobs dream.  The ladder is much like a job in which comes with a pattern which we are responsible to build based upon this God given plan. The better the pattern of the job description is fulfilled the better the reward of the job.  According to the book of Revelation life has twelve (12) steps in this ladder stairway.  The first four steps are the blood of Jesus otherwise called the Four Cups.  The next five steps are what is called Prayer Incense and the last three are the Harp.

The following is the greatest discovery of opportunity that ever was, is, or ever will be known to mankind.  They are eternal.  They are the eternal life.  These twelve steps are the summary of the pattern of life leading to the presence of God.  The presence of God is an opportunity or life with endless boundless eternal benefit and reward.

CROWN OF LIFE
TREE OF LIFE
ETERNAL LIFE
ETERNAL TABERNACLE

The twelve fruit of the tree of life are as follows:

Four Cups blood of Jesus
STEP 1: Salvation - Purity - Stop
STEP 2: Deliverance - Edification - Start
STEP 3: Redemption - Restoration - Fix
STEP 4: Fulfillment - Protection - Address

Incense Prayer (where love is defined as honor, glory, and praise)
STEP 5: Love our Father God
STEP 6: Love Jesus Christ
STEP 7: Love yourself spirit, soul, and body
 - live by the spirit:  surrender, forgiveness, spiritual order, speak the word, live by the word, vessel of honor, worship
- soul:  which is to play the harp our divine given instrument of worship listed in steps 10 - 12
-body: honor it for it is the house or Tabernacle of God
STEP 8: Love others as they as for who they are and for what they can become
STEP 9: Love the seven laws of righteousness (perception, humility, sobriety, sexuality, marital, integrity/respect, and money/possessions)

The Harp
STEP 10: a will of seder (orderly, clean) stemed from purity, humility, and zeal
STEP 11: a mind of discernment stemed from vulnerability and consecration
STEP 12: emotions driven by a spirit of worship stemed from hope and peace

I vow to commit my entire life to the pursuit and consumption of these twelve fruits of the tree of life!  May God allow me the grand opportunity to be a witness of rewards associated with the practice of this Tabernacle Patter.

Praise God I love you!

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.
Revelation 22:1-5 NIV

My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. 21 Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart;  22 for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body. 23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Proverbs 4:20-23 NIV
