John the Baptist the Elijah who Was to Come

Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. 12 From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it. 13 For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John. 14 And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come. 15 Whoever has ears, let them hear.

Matthew 11:1-19; 17:1-13; Mark 9:2-13; Luke 9:1-34

"A Double Portion of Thy Spirit"
By David Pyles

Immediately prior to the time Elijah was caught up to heaven in the whirlwind, his younger understudy Elisha requested a double portion of Elijah's spirit (2Ki 2:9). Elijah being under the inspiration of God then replied that Elisha's request would be granted provided that the younger prophet were with him at the time he was taken away. The scriptures then record that this condition was fulfilled.
After reading of the spectacular career of Elijah, it is difficult to believe that any man could have a double portion of his spirit, yet it came to pass that exactly twice as many miracles were done in the ministry of Elisha as in that of Elijah. The miracles in the careers of these two men of God may be summarized thus:

The Elijah Anointing is the name of the spirit that allows for the miracles and wonders of God to flow through mankind.  This spirit was a special gift designed by God to return the hearts of mankind back to his family and kingdom, to restore the trust and belief of man in God, and to provide aide to the innocent.  The following rules make up the nature of the Elijah Anointing:
- it was designed by God and initially given to the super prophet Elijah and this is why we call this spirit The Elijah Anointing
-  The Elijah Anointing is passed from person to person but must be done with sincere intention between the giver and receiver
- The Elijah Anointing may be given directly to the receiver from heaven without a Earthly giver as it was for Elijah and John the Baptist
- The Elijah Anointing varies in strength and the extent of this power is unknown as Jesus was the one who demonstrated the greatest level of its power and then stated that others would "do even greater things" than he had demonstrated.  We have yet to witness these great powers therefore we can expect very powerful people to perform great miracles in Jesus name in the future
- The Elijah Anointing is designed and intended to grow stronger as it is passed down from generation to generation
- The Elijah Anointing can manifest in different forms.  Most of the time all persons carrying The Elijah Anointing exhibit powers included in the what we call The promise land: Immortal Masters of Creation Rulers over Demons
- The Elijah Anointing is activated and sent from heaven to Earth under the conditions of compassion.  Compassion is why it was designed and the spirit of compassion is where if flows through.  Conversely the need for power, honor, glory and any other self feeding motive are not suitable for this spirit to rest.  It will only flow through those that operate from the need for compassion.
